MICROSOFT AND APPLE ARE TWO MULTINATIONAL CORPORATIONS THAT HAVE BEEN RIVALS FOR ABOUT 30 YEARS. AT FIRST IT STARTED OFF AS A DUEL OVER COMPUTERS BUT IT HAS NOW MOVED ON TO GAMING ADN MUSIC.

BOTH COMPANIES WERE FOUNDED BY COLLEGE DROPOUTS IN THE 1970s. APPLE, WHICH WAS FOUNDED BY STEVE JOBS, CREATED THE FIRST PC IN THE MID 70s AND A LITTLE LATER CREATED A MORE USER-FRIENLY COMPUTER, THE MACINTOSH.

MICROSOFT FOUNDER BILL GATES TOOK A DIFFERENT PATH. MICRIOSOFT LICENSED SOFTWARE, WHICH IS NOW KNOWN AS WINDOWS, TO MANUFACTURERS LIKE COMPAQ. MICROSOFT’S VISION OF”A COMPUTER ON OVERY DESK AND EVERY HOME” WAS BACOMING A REALITY AND BY 1992 BILL GATES HAD BECOME THE RICHEST PERSON IN THE WORLD.

MICROSOFT’S STRATEGY WAS TOO POWERFUL FOR APPLE TO COMPETE WITH AND, IN 1985, STEVE JOBS WAS FIRED FROM THE COMPANY HE HELPED CREATE. TWELVE YEARS LATER, APPLE BROUGTH BACK JOBS, WHO TURNED THE MAC (SHORT MACINTOSH) INTO SOMETING COOL AND DESIRABLE. APPLE HAS SINCE SOLD MILLIONSOF MACS.

I AM SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD AN AT PRESENT ATTENDING LAKEVILLE HIGH. I THINK IT IS AN EXCELLENT SCHOOL. I BELIEVE THAT I AM SUITABLE FOR THE POSITION ADVERTISED. I LIKE CHILDREN AND GET ALONG WELL WITH THEM. I ALSO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN TAKING CARE OF THEM SINCE I OFTEN HAVE TO LOOK AFTER MY TWO YOUNGER SISTERS. THEY ARE TWINS AND VERY NOISY. IN ADDITION, I HAVE DONE BABYSITTING FOR PEOPLE IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD WHO WILL VERIFY THAT. I AM BOTH RELIABLE AND RESPONSIBLE. I DID A LOT OF BABYSITING LAST SUMMER BEFORE I WENT ON VACATION BECAUSE I NEEDED THE MONEY.
